It was standard chanel iron which was a snug fitGreat idea, is the bit that fits over the drawbar available to buy somewhere?
After bending the front axle on my trailer towing with a fixed ball on a tractor I now use a ball on the 3pt linkage, you can then set it at whatever height is needed, also good for washing out.Recently, someone was asking for ideas of having an adjustable height 50mm tow ball on the tractor
I cannot find the thread now, here is a picture of ours![]()
Yep, they are so useful. After bending the front axle on my trailer towing with a fixed ball on a tractor I now use a ball on the 3pt linkage, you can then set it at whatever height is needed, also good for washing out.

It was only ball hitch I saw with a plate on saying 1500kg. Took that off and put a 3500kg one onThat's only 1500kg rated?
How dp you stop negative tongue loads on the trailer lifting the link arms?
You need a steel bar stabiliser from top link to lower link. But this knackers up the benefits of having it on 3 point. That's only 1500kg rated?

Just be careful the whole thing was rated to 1500It was only ball hitch I saw with a plate on saying 1500kg. Took that off and put a 3500kg one on
It won't lift the link arms if loaded right, not the end of the world if it does. That's only 1500kg rated?

No but if you've only got 3 Cows and they all move to the back it might. It won't lift the link arms if loaded right, not the end of the world if it does.
14' tri axle here it's by design has a very low tongue weight,5 cows in and the hitch doesn't lift.
that's why you use dividing gates. No but if you've only got 3 Cows and they all move to the back it might.
Ratchet strap down to drawbar from top link would work. The TFF police won’t like that thoughthat's why you use dividing gates.
I've only one so it's front or back neither idealthat's why you use dividing gates.
I always pen up to front. Rather have too much weight on front than too littleI've only one so it's front or back neither ideal![]()
I’ve got a frame on my B275 to move caravan and trailers etc around. I have an old lifting strop from drawbar frame to top link just in case something moves or tries to lift it up but with enough slack to leave just enough height adjustment. Wouldn’t try it out on the road though!!Ratchet strap down to drawbar from top link would work. The TFF police won’t like that though
