I use power kem (old stuff) through an hozelock applicator bottle (diluted solution)

So far so good

A Nixon will only foam at low pressure not sure why they do that though

I triple wash if I'm using the chemical applicator

1, Pre wash any mud get the whole machine soaked
2, Application of chemical let it sit for 5 mins or so (Ideal tea break)
3, Rinse off in cold water medium pressure

I might move over to a proper snow foam with gun so any suggestions would be welcomed

There's only one man fit to answer this question.......

Don't know what it's call but used spaldings stuff for year's, got the dreaded red paint tractors too and they still super shiny red, last one did 6000 hours and went away fresh red paint.

Just bought a dema valve to get high pressure chemical on my Nixon.
It does work sort of but not great.

The idea is there and if I had a higher flow nixon washer it would work much better!

With mine to get it out at high pressure you have to adjust it so much you reduce the flow thus making the burner heat water too much. (nixon is a very simple machine so burner is matched to water flow with nothing to stop burner if water temp increases behond normal!) So long as you dont fit a smaller nozzle etc it's not an issue unless like me you bought a fancy chemical valve?

The Drema valve creates a little back pressure on the pump.
In valve there are 2 ports, you restrict the main port to force water through a smaller port that sucks the chemical adding it to the high pressure. A check valve on the chemical inlet stops pressure going to the chemical tank.

It's a clever little thing and rated from something like 8 litres per minute right up to 70litres!
Mine at 11 litres is right at the bottom end of it range. A 14 litre pump would work it much better!

I have mine set so there is a tiny bit of back pressure on pump but not quite enough to do chemical at full pressure, I then crack the twin lance open a fraction and chemical comes out. Before would have to undo twin lance fully to get any chemical.
It was a bit of a trade off from chemical and low flow or chemical at slightly higher pressure than before?

Chrome northwest is good, sometimes just a bucket of warm soapy water will do a better job than some tfr products about. I try to clean mine when its not sunny and cool for best results. As for polish i use demon shine which i get from morrisons. £3 for a big bottle and use that on both exterior and inside. Leaves a shine on the paint and plastic and dust does not stick. Again i find it better than other products that cost a lot more.

For it's cost Demon Shine is not bad for the money.

@Robert K now i know there is another version of it with a knob for easy adjusting rather than the tiny brass screw.

We have the 5 Hp single phase Nixon a nice simple well thought-out machine

thats the newer higher flow 14 litre. mines an old single phase before the option of the 5hp motor.

they also now do options of temp at 65deg or an 80deg temp. the old ones like mine are all 65deg although i turned up the fuel pressure a little ?
