Just a quick one, just taken some osr in locally, weighbridge man walked round trailer trying to find "tascc number" or whatever. Being a practical sort of man, he handed me a marker pen and suggested that I write RT number next to the existing trailer Id number sticker, to enable us to proceed.
This is a new experience for me, what is the actual requirement for own transport of grain to a mill?
Thanks.

Your trailer needs to be marked with your scheme number (from your sticker).

This brings tractors & trailer inline with conventional HGV haulage, who have had every trailer audited by TASCC for years.

If you say "my trailer never leaves the farm" then it won't be part of the RT audit.

This has been a requirement for the past couple of years.
I make a stencil out of a sheet of A4 paper and used an aerosol to paint the number onto our trailers.

Next door neighbour but one went to a printer and had some made onto sticky backed plastic, including the Red Tractor logo.
I told him I wouldn’t have added my RT number, but the words “Can go forth and Multiply” or something a little more familiar, instead.
