Trimble system help

Hi

I’m running a cfx750 and field iq on my self propelled sprayer which is running section control and rate controller.

is there a setting in the screen to allow me to spray when stationary

at the moment It will only spray when moving forward at 0.6k. Is there a setting to allow the sprayer to spray as soon as the master switch is on instead of having to be moving. I know there is the jumpstart button you can use but thought there may be a setting in the screen so you don’t need to use the jump start button.
Thanks in advance

There is at least the "jump start" on main switch.
And might also be flush control behind the left side sprayer icon if I remember right.

Yes that’s right I can use the jump start button and flush control to wash out stationary.
But at the moment the sprayer will only start spraying when travelling at 0.6k was wondering if there was a setting to do away with this so it starts spraying as soon as the master switch is on instead of having to be moving forward.

There is a lot of settings for minimum speed, amount etc. but I do not know if they would help you.
The jump start works well. Bush it up when U start do drive...
I do not now fully understand what is your problem with it.

The reason I want to spray stationary not using the jump start is because Im not getting on with the jump start button when spraying around an obstacle. When I reverse upto a telegraph pole I can’t use the jumpstart as the vehicle direction on the screen is in reverse so it won’t allow the jump start to work. I then have to drive the sprayer forward slightly to change the vehicle direction to allow the jump start to work. This means I then have a metre or so unsprayed around the pole.

It maybe I’m just not used to the system yet

Switch of the reverse function on screen
If you switch it off it'll think you're driving into the pole and map the boom and coverage in front of the tractor. Then when it realises what's happening it'll turn the sections off on the bit that it wrongly thinks is already done.

The reason I'm familiar with this is because my ez500/ez-boom does exactly this as it's older tech. You just switch to manual when backed up and back to auto when safely away. Can you not do this in fiq?

A dirty fix is to move the antenna to above the nozzles - no rear offset needed, so direction of travel unimportant.

Yea I see what you are saying but in theory when manoeuvring round the pole with sprayer switched of it shouldn’t be mapping? But I understand what you are meaning so it’s a case of the tech actually making the job more difficult in some cases

It's just the first yard when you set off spraying again before it figures out what's going on.

At least with the 500 it's predictable - i also have a 750 and try to keep track of what's done when drilling corners, works 95% of the time, but you occasionally get that big pirouette that cocks up the coverage.

Arag is easy enough to do you just switch the coverage and rate off and it'll do what you want
Yep, do that if I can be arsed but learnt to work with it mainly, fortunate to have some good field margins so back onto them, computer sorted itself by time I hit crop.

Yeah margins are great for it . Unfortunately I don't work for someone who likes a margin !! It's a good job I don't have to drive the sprayer much !!

I do like a moan, but it's not so bad, it's not perfect for sure but I expect there's worst out there to drive, mine went down for a few days early summer, had to call in help in the end as I wasn't getting anywhere over the phone, turned out to be a damaged cable that no one thought about, anyway think the chap said the new Spirits don't use Arag anymore.

There is a setting somewhere in the depths of the fiq settings called 'off when stopped'.
But don't ask me where to find because I can't remember.
I think I have found that setting in the manual after some Sunday reading will have a play with the screen tomorrow. Thanks 👍🏻
