UNLIMITED 4G Data

Aerial cable length can be a prob. Ours came with 5m When I asked about extending it, was not recommended. All to do with loss / gain or something.

Thanks. Yeah covered it off in my PM exchange with DIFTK a day or so ago.

Basically the twin-coax that comes attached with quite a few (nearly all!) external antennas is quite a small gauge (for cheapness), so pretty high loss, and beyond a few metres of the stuff, you start to go backwards! - that is anything you gain, by extending the cabling to get the antanna in a higher/better place you lose in the shitty cabling.

So without resorting to bigger gauge coax (££) and an antenna with separate ports (more £££), you basically need to treat the router and external antenna as a “package” that you need best place up a pole say, with the router tucked away just inside.

Then run a Cat 5/6 cable to where you need your network connection.

Got the 3 sim today £20 a month unlimited data, so far so good getting 10 mbps. App is saying full bars on 3G so not picking up a 4g signal but il move the aerial and see if I can get it!

I can get 4g with my EE sim, il play with it tomorow see what happens

sorry if this should be in IT, but it affects many rural communities. I've had a 4G router or MiFi unit powering the internet. For years I have been restricted to Data allowances, but Three have just launched an unlimited package for £20 per month. I wouldn't have know if I hadn't had reason to call them up, so anyone who realise on 4G and is tied by data, get on this deal.

Put 3 sim only deals onto 24 month contracts in January and had the unlimited data option on my phone as it’s faster than the broadband we can get at home. So dumped the landline fully.

Unless you're on fibre ,mobile broadband is much quicker than copper , and portable too .

Unless you're on fibre ,mobile broadband is much quicker than copper , and portable too .

4 g signal is 40 % crap in UK and no where near as goo as promised .many parts in uk have no signal at all. Good for you if you have but no good for the starving masses

Data on smartphones is crap ,too much going on ,you need a portable router for bb .

Website dont tell the whole truth .show me on there where it says I can get my 100 g for £20 . They do like for like if you push them and their speed is better

I’ve never looked at the website. Just called up EE business team and did it via them. I did tell them I was going to move to another provider mind you so it was business retentions really.

Should of done that I suppose but I’m happy with the 3 sim
