Sat in and studied a Luxxum 120 at Lamma, very nice cab with everything bar the spool levers in exactly the right position. Am I right in thinking that they are a NH T5 but with a Steyr/ZF rear axle? Was definitely a ZF rear end and nothing like the NH 60/TM style that NH are still using

Yup that's correct, Luxxum is the replacement for the Farmall 115U Pro. Will be pricey tho

3k cheaper than jd when we asked ( Same spec )

It was £10k difference between a CVX 130 and a 6125R when I got quotes two years ago, and the CVX has a fair bit more grunt.

At £3k difference, at the same horsepower I'd have the JD, I think. Though I do prefer the way the CVX comes to a stop on the lever and puts the raise lower buttons etc on it, the fit and finish and resale value of the JD would be a level above the Case.

Well it was a good job I was sitting down when they told me

I can imagine, the Maxxums are the tractors we need for our business, we want to stick with Case for sure, but I fear the only way they're going to stay ''affordable'' is if we start going down in HP.

As for sticking to the same or go fractionally bigger I fear it's going to be a fair hike, so they're going to have to sort something pretty good i.e. more realistic price or better finance deals if they want to have any sales at all I would think.... I would think the same would apply to all the top manufacturers.

Yeah we are downgrading from fendt due to a horrendous quote ☹️

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
