Vaderstad drill staggered wheels

Have gone to a staggered wheel Vaderstad drill and I am finding much more soil builds up on the back of the drill than the non staggered drills did. This means we are having to stop regularly to clean it off. They are supposed to be better in the wet but I am finding just the opposite. Drilled in worse conditions with the non staggered and this never happened. All new and adjusted scrapers. Would be interested to know what
others think.

Been running ours today it doesn't have staggered wheels and that was Happening on 2 or 3 wheels but only where the scrapers needed adjusting. Never had it do anything like that tho and tbf the muck piled up on yours doesn't look all that wet

Far to wet and you’ll break the spring off on the depth control ram if your not careful then you really will bury it!

The wheels do look a bit extreme on the photo! As Massey Mad said the soil piling up isn’t that wet. It seems on the most forward wheels the scrapers shed the soil down and sideways into the rims of the wheels either side which then doesn’t drop out and gets taken up and over causing the build up. This didn’t happen when they were all in a line.

Having used both staggered and in line there is no way I am going back to in line. Soil flow is much better with staggered.
With the op I think the best bet is get the power hose out and wait a while. Maybe the scrapers could be closer to the tyres and like I said before it’s worth checking there’s no small stones stopping discs rotating.
