Been having an issue with losing gps signal on my isobus spreader. See picture

This is intermittent. The spreader will load normally and I can switch the section control into automatic, but then after a few mintute the error msg above will appear and I have to use section control in manual. The tractor keeps it’s AB line and continues to steer but the spreader won’t work in auto. I’ve had the satellite info screen up whilst working and when the error code appears the signal for tractor position goes blank for a moment then comes back with its position (long & latt). But it then takes a long time for the isobus control to allow work to continue in auto.

When working in manual the spreader still shows up it’s sections on Varioguide and shows it’s worked area but can’t get it to stay in auto?

Any ideas? Trying to work out wether it’s a spreader or tractor issue?

I think it might be a communication issue between tractor and spreader. I’ve not had the same problem and think I have had section control working not on full signal. What spreader are you using.

I think there not getting on as well.. it’s a sulky spreader. All worked perfectly first few days a few weeks back, but last two times its been doing this. Yes I’ve had section control on sprayer working fine on low signal as well.. ?‍♂️ :scratchhead:

Is your tractor on the latest update. Back in the early days of section control this was a common issue. There was a work around back then but I’m not sure it still works.

I had it on mine the other day but as soon as I turned it off and back on it was fine.

Tractor is up to date, spreader is in need of an update apparently. Just puzzling as they worked together seamlessly for its first time out at the start of last month.. tried going through all settings but can’t figure anything out yet! Tractor dealer isn’t very up to date on the precision side, and spreader dealer is other end of country. They said they can update no worries, just country’s in lockdown with C19 so wondering short term if there is a work around ?‍♂️

Hi, Try turning the ''fallback option'' off on your vario guide.
What signal are you using for correction?
have you tried another correction , even if its a lower spec one just to rule it out?

Running on egnos at present so don’t think there’s a lower spec? Just puzzled as everything else is running as should, with all sections showing up and tractor steering etc, but just the auto mode intermittently switching on and off? You’d think if it was a compatibility problem it would either work or it wouldn’t? ?

Can you confirm if your GPS was upgraded ? Was it working fine before the upgrade? What TC version was selected? Version not number!

Tractor hasn’t had any updates since it was new last year.., everything worked fine with tractor and spreader first day out at beginning of March 20. Now has this intermittent drop out.., could it be a wire ?? Will check version when I’m back on that tractor, but seems strange that it was working and now isn’t with neitheir machine or tractor having had any updates within this last month! Only thing that’s changed is Egnos satellites had an update in March? Could that have anything to do with it? But saying that it wouldnt work intermittently would it? Makes me think it’s a wire :scratchhead:

Hi Spencer,
If you can get your Fendt the latest end of line udate that would be good. Richard ( Sulky) can then arrange for your isolink to have an update
