They have been Auto net since the Greenland baler, that’s about 25 years, so yes they apply net after an alarm is made to instruct the driver to dip the clutch.

Vicon will be a much better baler than a Claas 250. That era of Claas had horrendous build quality.

I for my sins have run Vicon big square balers, in general they were bloody awful things apart from the famous Vicon (now Kuhn) rotor. The round balers on the other hand were great machines with a good reputation. I bought a new Kuhn round baler last year (design not that different to their predecessors) and am very pleased with it, I paid for the drop floor but have never used is because the rotor just takes everything you can throw at it. If it’s in good nick you won’t go far wrong but bearings are a wearing part what ever the baler.

I ran a class 255 never gave any real major issues changed to a Kuhn 2135 same as the vicon baler very good baler they can all give problems touch wood none so far it makes a very good bale as wee all no it helps if the half wit on the seat that makes a difference
