Wagon turned around in wheat field

Not stuck neighbor caught him further down road.

Not much wall down but it's shoved the bottom stone into the wall so it's "aged" the wall if you know what I mean.

The stone gate post isn't massively damaged but it's marked and shoved over a bit.

Wagon drew in to left backed around then drew out. I think. Lucky it's so dry!!!

Is it a haulier you might need to use in the future?

I would speak to haulier first and ask them to repair any damage to wall/gate post. The loss of crop will be negligible I presume.

Just ask them if they want to solve the problem today between yourselves the easy way with a BACS payment, or they will be legally required to give you their insurance details to have it done the hard way.
If they’ve any sense they’ll compromise and sort it out without instigating a claim through their insurance, but if they choose the claim route then ask your dyker to quote for the worst case scenario, and anything left can stay on account.

Contact them with pictures and your proof it was them and go from there.
Ask them to fix it.
Are you looking for them to repair the damage or just hoping for a few quid and leave it as is?

Did they open your gate to turn round?

Police turned out as chap had driven a good few 100 yards so had "left the scene"

As for repair the damage we put the bit of wall that was actually down up but no we don't plan to floor it to sort the bottom stones but it has made a difference to the wall.

Gate post I don't really expect the money to replace with a new pair re set in straight but doesn't make it right that it's been caught and leaning.

The bad bit the gate was open,I know that's my fault but still doesn't make it right, would he turn around on a flagged drive cracking every flag and think it's ok?

To be honest we have a few cars through walls every year and have gathered the attitude the ones you catch have to pay to make up for the ones that don't.

Last was a car on its roof and the mother couldn't believe our first questions were is her son ok no lasting injuries.

You're not going to get any money out of them.

Go slash some tyres or smear human excrement under the door handles and call it even.

If any proof he will.

Local accident black spot almost a cottage industry rebuilding a wall that lorries keep skidding into. Insurance or haulage company always pay.

I had one, lorry went through the wall next to a roundabout. Photos were taken by witness's we arranged a top waller to rebuild within a few days, but the haulier used to been stung had his own waller there at dawn, built it better than before so (y)

In my case yes, cctv from local business & four people with camera phones. I'm not the OP.

Locally quite often a car is actually stuck in a wall or hedge, sometimes upside down in a field. Drunk drivers 90% of the time will pay well above restoration costs if the police are kept out of it.
🤣🤣 All our cars end up 30 ft into field but they were only ever doing 30 max when crashed 🤣🤣 feckin amazing how many drive away though through gate.
1 jag did a lap of some wheat then spun out near the gate, backed up but couldn't set off again made more mess in a wet winter than you'd ever credit!!
