How in tarnation was Mark Drakeford elected as an AM never mind leader of the whole shebang.

We learn today that the promised target of 5000 daily tests for the virus is to be dropped because they (The Welsh Government) cannot source the chemicals needed having promised the frontline Welsh NHS staff this would happen.
On Friday, Drakeford said that he would extend Welsh lockdown even if the rest of the U.K. started to relax their rules.

Add your Welsh woes here ....

The hatred for him in west wales is massive after he pretty much shut withybush hospital down when he was health minister and yet had never stepped foot in the county. Huge petitions from locals and visiting celebrities fell on silent ears. I know more women that have given birth in the back of cars/ambulances than have actually made it to Carmarthen, it’s over an hours drive to A&E now on a good run - one of the reasons we chose not to have another child. pr*ck

Can't stand him... or his hillbilly catkeeping looking people he puts up for the conference.

He's Wooden Doddering and is not capable.

Is he not the MP for Cardiff the centre of the universe?

I think he has ideas he's in charge of some kind of superpower.

The assembly thought that central gov would provide PPE, but when central gov pointed out that health care is devolved, the assembly did nothing.
The Welsh Government had predicted that by now there would have been 5,000 tests being carried out per day, but on Friday only 783 tests were carried out. They even closed a major testing station on a Sunday, thinking no one would need testing. So what is Mr Drakeford doing? He is organising a "review". I am sure the virus will wait while they chose who is on the panel, where to meet, when, how much they get paid, who will bring the pens etc.
By closing Withybush maternity, it pushed all births to Carmarthen, A few months later Carmarthen maternity was found not fit for purpose, but expectant mums had no choice.
They are now going to set up a new A&E further away from most people - just A&E so doubling testing/x ray/ scan etc on a green field site and when you are out of danger, ship you to the existing hospital, half an hour on bad roads.
They closed the old hospital in Cardigan (set up from community money) promising a new one. We now have a "health hub" as it has no beds. And no dentist. And no disabled access unless you are able to totter on crutches.

The man is way over his head, but needs a committee to tell him.

I think Drakeford was born or was raised in Carmarthen, so he knows of Pembs. Apart from that, the man is a complete weasel.

So senior doctors have written to our Dear Leader asking him to ban the use of second homes during this crisis.
Fine. I’m all for it if it protects those of us in the rural communities BUT please enlighten me about how this would be implemented

How do we think our local Welsh MPs are conducting themselves at this time? Doing plenty with updates news advice.. or locked away keeping a low profile.?

Well I do see that their video conferencing is going well with our health minister saying “what the f**k is the matter with her?” about fellow labour AM Jenny Rathbone.

I don't have a second home but I expect those that do bring a great deal of money to the Welsh economy. I suspect it is a very fine line between saying f**k off we don't want you and them saying f**k you when it's all over I'd sooner go to Greece where it's cheaper.

We have a large block of land in rent near a second home hotspot and it annoyed me a bit to see someone has written on the road “Stop. Go home covidiots”

The economy of the Sainted Island is tourism and dairy farming (although the Council - and specifically Highways - & incomers would rather not the latter)

And as an addendum to this now I’ve seen the local news, the doctors also want lockdown to be prolonged in tourist areas such as ... ta da .. Anglesey.

Nay and thrice nay docs.

I think the bulk of them are behaving and staying away... When we are set free again they'll be back.
