Wanting to buy land

There appears to be very little land on sale in the North East. I'm really struggling to find something.
I'm not sure if I'm looking at the right places?

Ideally I'd like from 6-15 acres.
It would be for 6 horses.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Or if anyone is selling I'm a cash buyer šŸ˜€

It took me more than a year to find my barley field.
If I was doing similar again I would go and knock on doors and offer Ā£8k PA cash for a 12 acre paddock. Whether it has a crop or not, there are some ā€˜olderā€™ Farmers who may be tempted.
The alternatives are the auction sites. Buy 70 acres and sell on to the underbidder.

Ā£8K??

Sounds like a rather modest offer for pony paddock suitable land....

Wave enough money at the problem, and it will be solved. Location will be a/the major factor on the price you will be paying. Budget will need to be lavish.....

Contact local Land Agents selling farm land. Does Farmers Guardian still have land for sale?

I was offered a 12 acre parcel for that price two years ago.
Donā€™t forget there is the ā€˜expectationā€™ v ā€˜realityā€™ scenario.
This plot had no water, was not fenced and was only another barley field.
Water would be impossible. Fencing would cost Ā£6k so IMO, not an unrealistic figure.
Needless to say I didnā€™t take up the offeršŸ˜„

So very, VERY true.

I know of one block I have had my eyes on and "know" it will be half as much more than I reckon it's worth if and when it comes to Market ;)
