I have sold waste oil in the past, but cannot find who i sold it too, and google hasnt helped either. does anyone know of a company that buys waste oil?

I’m told your local recycling centre will take in jars of waste oil, not barrels. Domestic use oil can be taken in, ie cars, motorbikes, motor homes.

You sell waste oil, for which the handler needs a permit, not only do you not know if they have a permit, you don't know who you sold it to !

My granddad had one of those. Used to scare the wee out of me. Well it was twice my height for a start and it was usually aflame.

I have a garage so have alot
Used to get paid 1p a litre and used to have to have a licence
No license needed now and they charge xp per litre to take it away!!!
Cheapest i've found is lincs oils round us who take any amount for £50

I'm using these guys, they wont pay you for it though! no ones done that for at least 6 plus years.

As many filters as you can cram in a wheelie bin (crushed or uncrushed) is about £40 to empty.

The company I work for are produced about 50000 litres of clean used engine oil a year, a company was taking it away regularly in a tanker untill HQ said that no one was actually contracted to take it away!
Someone got a very toasty workshop somewhere [emoji3]
