water in tubeless tyres

Cheap and easy to do.. but I'm certain that the water in the tyres creates far more drag on the road than if the extra weight was carried by the tractor.. Another disadvantage is the ride, fill them 2/3 or more with water, and there's so little volume for air, gives a rough ride on anything but perfect roads..

is putting water in tubeless tractor tyres to try and acheive more grip a good idea? i know they used to put it in tubed tyres back in the day. any thoughts for and against greatly appeciated.

standard practice to put water in tubeless tyres on back of schaffer loaders, there all ballasted from factory like that.

be sure to use 30% to 50% antifreeze to protect from frost but also help with corrosion of the rims.
