water in tubeless tyres

is putting water in tubeless tractor tyres to try and acheive more grip a good idea? i know they used to put it in tubed tyres back in the day. any thoughts for and against greatly appeciated.

Ballasting tyres with water

I need some more weight on the back of my loader tractor and water in the rear tyres was suggested. Is it a case of taking the valve stem out and simply trying to get as much water in as you can? Does the tractor need jacking up, wheels taking off first? Or am I just over thinking it and it is...

Cheap and easy to do.. but I'm certain that the water in the tyres creates far more drag on the road than if the extra weight was carried by the tractor.. Another disadvantage is the ride, fill them 2/3 or more with water, and there's so little volume for air, gives a rough ride on anything but perfect roads..

standard practice to put water in tubeless tyres on back of schaffer loaders, there all ballasted from factory like that.

be sure to use 30% to 50% antifreeze to protect from frost but also help with corrosion of the rims.
