What are the NFU advertising?

I'm puzzled.
What are the NFU trying to achieve with full page advert in FW, glorifying their illustrious leader ?
(and it looks like little more than an ego massage for said leader, which is hardly a good use of my subs)

Indeed, an ad in the FW can only be after one thing...or you'd certainly hope so, cos else it's being used to flog something else altogether.
(Now, what's in the ad that might need further marketing?)

And if it's for membership, why the simpering personal thing?
MB is not THE NFU...she's temporarily the president.
So meaningless oozing adoration for her.......what the fudge is that about?

I find it weird at best, but sordid and vulgar when I think about it.
It's of note that the ad has been knocking about the social media for some days,
........which suggests to me that MB was familiar with it, and can't now claim ignorance of it.

And I find an incumbent orchestrating such self -praise is, at the very least, extremely tacky.

Looks like a CV to me. Maybe looking to apply for the job of Trade and Agriculture commissioner. Which finally makes some sort of sense of why she has been pushing so hard for its creation; its not as if it will actually achieve anything.

Minette has only ever been in it for herself and to get herself as many quango jobs as possible for doing nothing but tying up the farming industry in yet more rules/ red tape!

She was the main driver in pushing for farm assurance/ the RT quango and then got herself a very highly paid job on the board which she held for many years until she was dragged kicking and screaming away from when after about 2 years as both president of the NFU and sitting on the RT board she had to accept it was a massive conflict of intrests..

She will surely go down as the most weakest/ ineffective NFU president in history!

On the FW adverts, the NFU is losing members by the thousands, every week you hear of yet more very long term NFU members quitting because the NFU at top level is badly failing their members, they had something like 55K members four years ago, was down to about 49k 16 months ago and no doubt is much lower now!

Can you post a link to where you got these figures from. 55k members four years ago.

Where do you get the information that they are losing thousands of members. Interesting the point on long term members leaving only due to the top level failing badly.

How does the CLA and TFA compare? Are they gaining the members the NFU are losing or are these just retirees?

Would like you to justify you claims, or are they just market gossip, like the one you posted about all markets shutting down "next week" after the Coronovirus outbreak.

I never said all markets were closing down next week.

Yet again you make up a load of rubbish to try and point score, pathetic!

Interestingly having spoken with senior NFU staff/office holders quite often over the last few years not one had anything positive to say about you Sid.

Have you stopped phoning/texting your ex contractor 100+ times a day yet.............................................
