What are the NFU advertising?

You may get a discount on your insurance by being a member but is the quote competitive with other insurers ?
Yes usually very competitive & enough to cover my membership but this year they offered discount or pay for a full page advertisement in FW for Minette....sorry I mean NFU (y)
Obviously times are tough so felt I had to donate to the cause , there will be high unemployment by the end of the year so the job market will be highly competitive, if I can give a individual a helping hand by donating cash which other wise would have helped clothe my kids so be it;)

My insurance moved away from them some years ago , just as well by the sound of it as they weren’t giving me that discount, the saving I made by moving was way in excess of my membership fee.

Per the NFU ad in the FW of 26 June - how many of us managed to save £450 when buying 1,000 litres of red as a result of NFU lobbying of suppliers?

Sorry Tarw Coch the NFU ad only says "Our lobbying" -doesn't say who - are you saying they lobbied no-one and are in fact lying in their advertisement?

jondear -how much did you pay for your last delivery of red diesel per 1000 litres?

Haven’t a clue what the nfu say or claim, however your earlier post refers to “ the result of nfu lobbying of suppliers”

Hello Tawr Coch - my earlier post did refer to the NFU lobbying suppliers and I have corrected this. The NFU advert is on page 12 of Farmers Weekly of 26 June 2020. Have you read it?

Does he mean lobbying of the government, when a while back red was going to get kicked into touch ? ?‍♂️
Many others lobbied too, including NUW, CLA, to name but a few.
The NFU has done my business more harm with the bale every bale campaign and lobbying WAG to go with the historic option in 2005, than paying white diesel prices ever will.

You’re right I think. @craman is referring to the lobbying work of the NFU to prevent the chancellor from scrapping the red diesel rebate. NFU was mentioned specifically in parliament for their successful lobbying.
Seeing as we get through well over 2000 litres most weeks, I for one am quite grateful
