What are the reasons for you crossbreeding ?

I believe data used was comedy gold so no need
Are you saying they made the data up. I find it hard to believe commercial farmers would get involved in making calving dates, service records and milk yields up over 1000's of cows. TBH I only needed the evidence to make the move into Procross I'm happy now, 15 years down the line, that it was the way to go.

Procross
Made up name for 3 way cross using a beef bull an extreme black and white and an extreme red and white, but the latter with good health traits.

Plenty of people doing it with various breeds.

Suppose if people want to think they are part of a special group then way to go procross.

The Procross logo is a bit of marketing ploy no dought.
I use the top bulls from both Norwegian and Viking Reds and switch between Monty and Flecks for the Strength breed, but i still call them Procross as they all do the same role in their part of the rotation.

I'm doing a project on
What can I do to avoid unwanted dairy bull calves in a grazing system in West Wales?
can anyone help, I'm exploring the options of sexed semen, multi purpose breeds or a different way we can manage bull calves....
Looking at visiting Buitelaar in Ireland does anyone know of any other farms who wouldn't mind me asking some questions?

I’m on with the same thing for future, really like my fleck and Norwegian crosses doing same thing with monty and Viking but will criss cross a bit where appropriate, 80% of herd to beef tho so only on best cows...with bit of friesian in there to keep things interesting :sneaky:

Hey I was doing it before they give it that name, I only refer to it as it has some broader recognition.
