They only looked at Holstein, single crosses and three way crosses.

I would have Procross cows on any system, except possibly a Spring block graze type where a grass rat might suit more.

Are you saying they made the data up. I find it hard to believe commercial farmers would get involved in making calving dates, service records and milk yields up over 1000's of cows. TBH I only needed the evidence to make the move into Procross I'm happy now, 15 years down the line, that it was the way to go.

I’m on with the same thing for future, really like my fleck and Norwegian crosses doing same thing with monty and Viking but will criss cross a bit where appropriate, 80% of herd to beef tho so only on best cows...with bit of friesian in there to keep things interesting

It's worth following Drumgoon dairy on FB, it's an Irish man who started with 20 cows in 1982 then gradually built up to 200ac which he sold in 2006 and emigrated to South Dakota and now milks 4500 golden cross cows.
