Incoming USA stuff that lands in Stansted late then doesn't clear customs or is looking like it won't as times ticking. and then sits for a day there... Now means a Monday Delivery.

The Other half of the order ..... Ordered Monday night Flew in Tuesday Cleared and delivered & shipped out Wednesday.

Pisses me off.

What is starting to really grind my gears? …….. those who promote people in to positions of public office, and for no other reason than to affect their own - often distorted - agendas.

The latest shameful episodes? …….. those who are claiming the supposed ecological damage caused by heather burning, when it's controlled and when its purpose is to promote fresh growth, for Grouse to feed on. Fire - when it's applied in a controlled manner, is a useful tool to the land manager of these areas. On the Continent, teams have visited our Moors and are now copying our management protocols, and with great success.

The truly hysterical claims being made by Packham and his disciples, doesn't focus on land management - they are entirely open about their eventual intentions and that they want ALL large areas removed from private ownership and handed over to Council Clowns to ruin.

I genuinely couldn't give a stuff about Grouse Shooting - I can't afford it, but I'm happy that others can. What really irritates me, and beyond measurement, is that an entire and fragile ecology which is truly symbiotic, is going to be trashed by these clowns.

The latest one to attempt to use his office to affect his personal views over those who HE serves? Cllr. Nick Clarke of Derbyshire CC.

Had us hunting for 20mins tonight, sneaky little so and so’s 🙄.

eventually gave up and wife went and woke the little beggars up. Even then it took 5mins of hardball to get them to cough up it was under a bed.

Told them there’d be BIG trouble if daddy had t watch the rugby on the 9” kitchen tv tomorrow.........

Yep, went through that phase!

My remedy............. Before going to bed hide the TV! The remote is always left on the coffee table now.

the remote is high currency here. We have a strict hiding policy to avoid this happening, unfortunately my parental colleague let the protocol slip yesterday after being lured in by some “excellent behaviour “. 🤣

have been thru this phase once before when eldest figured out the immense power that possession had. After an hr spent fishing it out from behind a double radiator, I found cable tying 2 large wooden spoons to it in a cross pattern made it very difficult to smuggle out of the sitting room. And impossible to fit down the back of said radiator again 🙄

We've discovered that the sky q box can be found by pressing a button on the front of the box which makes it beep!

My mate has a step-daughter, a scheming and conniving little madam, supported in the main by her equally obnoxious mother.

He (may mate) came to me one day, and it seems that his step-daughter had 'confiscated' the remote so that she could watch a programme later - I asked him if he knew where she'd hidden it - "As a matter of fact, I do". "There then lays your answer" - - - -

It seems that he denied all knowledge of the missing remote until a few minutes before his programme started - there was much frantic searching but obviously to no avail. Either he is an accomplished liar, or the two cohorts are a bit thick - my moneys on the latter.

I suggested that when the opportunity next presents itself, that he points out to both of these women that neither of them have contributed one single penny to the running of the house in the four years that they've lived there, that NEITHER of them have had to pay for their cars, or tax them or put fuel in them and that it may have escaped their notice but that the television is actually his property, and that for the sake of peace and harmony, they might care to consider which side their bread is buttered.

Neither of these two women consider Texel Tup to be suitable company for their provider - - - - and they're probably right!

Corporatism that’s creeping in everywhere. We had some literature concerning a global tractor brand and it mentioned “territory 2”.
Well I turned round to wife number 1, who was sitting at table number 2 in room number 3 with cat number 2 on her lap and I said to her where is territory 2? Wouldn’t it have been just as easy to write Europe or something.

It's the 'creeping-in' aspect, isn't it? It's the thin end of a wedge - all wedges, which once introduced, are the very devil to rid ourselves of. It's the acceptance that 'they're only words' - NO THEY AREN'T - they are the laying of ground work.

Sure several on here understand the above with women getting everything and kids doing what they want with no respect for those paying the bills.

Trying to get a trailer tyre off a rim, I came for a coffee and looked on YouTube for some hints. An Arab boy was taking a couple of minutes to do the job whilst talking to his mates, in Africa, a teenager was taking off car tyres with one hand and waving to the camera with the other in about the same time. It's taken me over 2 hours over several days. :banghead:
Warm tyres are so much easier to work with.
