Been here 50 years, any ideas of what model it is/rough value? I’m 44 and can’t remember the last time it was used/attempted to be used. Plate says either I C: 2 or O C: 2. Does that make sense?

Bamford OC2 roller mill. I must have a later version as mine is in a red colour paint. They go on for years. 👍 Only replaced mine in 18 months ago

No reason it should not work fine, it may need some grooves put in the driven roller to help it feed through.
The best way to feed cereals to ruminants is rolled and it only needs just crushing, does not need to come out as pennies.

The main problem was in very dry barley, it was in an old brick barn and it was gradually shaking the place apart!

Our Bentall at home was doing the same.

Referring to sheep you are wrong (y)

Without further processing ie pelleting and additions .... The Best way to feed cereals ( and peas) to sheep is whole, unles its youngest lambs and starting off creep for palatabiltiy reasons , rolling or grinding is a complete and total waste of time and money and far worse for their guts.(y)

If you are interested I suggest doing some research on the subject.;)

I cannot argue with you, as my knowledge of sheep is derisory. Stragely they seened to prefer death to my tender ministrations :(

There’s one here aswell, still with the shoot from the grain loft and half a wagtail spinner hopper at the top. It was mounted iver a wooden box that woukd hold a few days rolled barley. We used to go up as kids to shovel the grain down!!! It’s motor was transplanted onto the lister elevator for years and few years ago I found it in shed and fitted it onto a PTO site cement mixer to save having the tractor running!!!
