What make / model of tractor is this?

I've been offered an option on the old tractor pictured here by a farmer friend of mine.... but embarrassingly I don't even recognise the make, let alone the model
I have been told it was parked many years ago when the PTO finally gave in and I would be looking to try and get it running again, fix the PTO and use it for light smallholding duties.... but before I can get too excited about it, I need to work out what it is and whether it's possible to get the parts....
My guess is it's been worked pretty much to death, but I'm willing to bet I can squeeze a bit more life out of it with a bit of effort... and I do like tinkering with old tractors!
It's a 4 cylinder diesel if that helps at all? :scratchhead:

So who knows what it is?

Brilliant! Well that's that resolved - thank you all.

So, opinions of said 4/65? Decent bit of kit? or not worth bothering with?

My biggest concern is why the PTO reportedly no longer works....

Nuffield are pretty bomb proof IME, should be a nice tractor once you get it sorted. Are charnleys of Leyland still stocking parts?

We viewed one , i think 4 - 65 Nuffield probably 20 years ago i think clutch had gone , cant remember which one, i think pto .
It had a cab .
Nr. Blackpool.
We walked away as bit rough and incomplete.
Fuel tank vertical were the rad should be.

Nuffield 4/65 with I think the Lambourn safety cab/frame
Im guessing The pto will be either the tubes/shafts in the clutch
Or the splines in the clutch/shaft
Or it's broken a leg on the clutch unit

Either way it's repairable if your handy, if you have pay someone to sort it then obviously costs will mount up
Other than that it looks a tidy enough example to be fair
It would certainly live again

They were abit numb but a very usable tractor they had their quirks but pretty tough all the same.

its not /wasnt a lambourn cab because you can see theres no bits on the wing for the door catches to grab alse a different shape to the front of the wing. more likely sekura. just a frame
i might be wrong tho.
looks like a triffid is engulfing it and ready to engulf the driver as well.....

I'm handy enough to effect a repair - have to secure it at a viable price for rescuing it first though!
Thanks for the useful hints on where the potential failure of PTO might be.
I'm waiting to hear back from the owner on whether it's available....
