Wheel size for tyres

Evening,
Does anyone know the required rim size for the tyre 520/85/38. Been told 15x38 then one says 18x38. Not sure which is the one needed for these size tyres.

The tyre manufacturers have data tables with this information. There'll be recommended and acceptable rims for each tyre.
For example, Michelin recommend a 16" rim, but 18" are also acceptable, for the Agribib 2.

I’d go with the 18 inch. Have 650s on my sprayer and the tire looks too far outside of the rims for me so 520s should be a better fit

I never looked at recommended pressure 🫣just the rim size.

Do you realise that you are asking for two different tyre diameters ?
520/70 38 is the equivalent to 18 38

520/85 38 is the equivalent to 20 38

I read it as looking for 18" rims, or complete with 20.8s.

You’re probably right, I’m full of cold and the brain cells aren’t fully functioning……….or at least I’m blaming the cold

But that’s a 170 rated tyre we are normally on 155 ratings ,170 be very high rating

Normally says to not exceed 30 seating the beads. 52 would be like driving Fred Flintstone's car

Those higher rating tyres are usuall fitted to rear discharge muck spreaders etc, some have steel belting reinforcement
