Wheel stud removal

It’s a proper piece of engineering. It will be a coarse thread screwed into the hub, probably with loctite. Then a finer thread for the nut
It will need a lick of oxy torch over the hub lug to soften the thread lock to stop the Milwaukee gun bringing the casting thread out with it though!!!

Edit: should have carried on reading till end of thread before replying 🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈

Going to undo all nuts to see if I can get enough pressure to get the nut to thread off. Can then have a good look at the thread to see if it is good enough to use the end!
If you grind down the side of the nut then split it with a chisel you stand more chance of not damaging the threads, well depending on how bad they are anyway.

It needs a new stud take the wheel of if the nut on the stud won't come of them weld it to the stud get the gass bottles and heat the back of the stud then unwind with nut but if yo can get the wheel of first you could heat both sides of the stud then it should remove esier. Don't try to save the stud not worth it.

Seen it done before with with locktighted wheel bolts with a fair bit success,
There all talking about gas touch, but it takes paint off and looks naff afterwards,
All you need to do is soften the lock tight, so stick welder on the old nut to stud, both are to renew anyway so no loss there, let it cool or it could twist off, once cold give it a go, now the trick is you need a good positive form of drive, as in a real good socket and bar, nothing flimsy, give it moderate pressure, but not enough to twist it off, it should come out, if not, attach earth clamp to nut, and bit of scrap in where electrode would go, and hold it on inside on threaded end, and put the juice into the stud for say 10 or 15 seconds enough to warm the bolt, and try again, should come out and leave no heat into flange

Now that is simple, its either in the workshop, or the garage or the office, or possibly in the shed down the garden, and will probably go in the scrap bin at the next clear out as you cannot remember what its for :(
We got robbed two years ago and made a list for the police of stuff that was missing. Found several things over the next month in different tractors and places🫣. Poor robber was being blamed for more than he took, started feeling sorry for him
