Where to buy cows

Demand is apparently rising and so are prices. We got offered about £1300 for 1st class 1st and 2nd calf fresh cows just this week. Like i've said before, brexit has taken it's toll on the pound. It's down almost 15% which makes import expensive.

You had you fleckviehs through them ?

Yeah we did. Bit of a ball ache but not his fault. We flew into Amsterdam to buy cows in holland. He had lined up a farm but they had a high stock turnover almost like a collection center. Didn't like the stock there not what I was looking for was late in the day so I assumed we would all go into town get smashed and he would know what to pick for me now I had see what I didn't want. Instead we drove into Germany and found an incredible little herd who had to sell everything due to having been vaccinated for IBR so unable to test if they clear or not. Day they're due to be loaded the vets changed they're minds and say they can go anywhere else in Europe so either Russia or on the hook. Which was a massive blow. We got sorted in the end just they didn't all come from one herd. All in all very happy.
