Which magnetic tray ?

Can anyone suggest a make of magnetic tray which the magnets dont come adrift from .
I have a Sealey one but the magnets have come unglued

I wonder what company make “Snap On” magnetic trays etc

...on the underside of a hired Transit van.

What's the best glue to just stick the magnets back on?


I used a magnet that has fallen off a tray on a grease gun. I just used an ordinary contact adhesive stick the magnet to a piece of 3mm sheet and jubilee clipped that to the grease gun. I recall that glue outlasted the grease gun.

Have had success with some leftover glue we used to stick emery to the plates for grinding shearing gear. Great stuff in an enclosed space you can see noises after a bit

Surely if it’s magnetic it will stick to the tray itself

Great until you lift the tray and the magnet stays put, causing all the pieces inside the tray to suddenly become unstuck.

Those metal trays are pretty thin and anyone who's used a mag drill will appreciate that magnets stick better to thicker plates of steel than thin sheet.

There is a advert on TV at the moment which is basically just clip after clip of people glue sniffing brand new cars. I guess some people do like that kind of thing.
