Great spotted WoodPecker (male) and a ,i think , female Blue Tit. ...

I do try to leave a few bit rotten standing trees down by the river bank and not be too 'tidy' they aren't dangerous there out the way and it gives them somewhere proper to peck their holes
Mrs feeding them might help to keep them around at times as well i guess ......

Sitting in the study / office and looked out the window.

I then moved to a different room. I was further away, but the bird was better framed between two trees, so the photos were brighter as there was no back light.

Does this count? Never seen a whole one before, 2 feet long at least.

Some kind of Platyhelmenth or sheep tapeworm if you are in doubt. The head is to the left of the long bit
