Have you continued with your 2018 plan? The spinning mill I used has closed down and I'm looking for another to process Lonk and Blue faced Leicester. If you are oop North even better!!Thanks for your replies folks.
Yep, will post photos as we progress.
We are Kent, but I suspect a road trip will be in order at some point so any contact details for processors oop North would be great.
Hello,I'm looking for someone to process fleeces and wonder if you continued with your plan from 2018. I buy fleeces from high nature value, low intensity farms in Lancashire and Cheshire, the mill I used closed down in June so I haven't bought fleeces this year. I usually have Lonk and Bluefaced Leicester.... if you are oop North even better! We are at the early stages of setting up a mini mill to process raw fleece from our flock (and, in time, others) into felt and yarn.
Having secured some Leader funding, we are about to make decisions on pieces of kit - drum carder, felter - and workspace layout, fleece washing system etc etc.
Would be pleased to hear from anyone out there who has already walked this path, or is at similarly early stages and would like to hold hands with us as we progress.
Thanks in anticipation.
Delilah

Yes Griffiths Mill has closed and it's been a real blow as they were close to me so we kept mileage low. I'm now looking for someone to spin fleeces into yarn.Hi, guessing you were using Griffiths Mill, if so you were probably having your wool taken through to yarn ?
We don't do yarn, rather we are focusing on felt, see the more recent posts over the last year or so. If you would be interested in having rolls of felt or felt products produced from your wool, get in touch. Or if you just want it taking through to carded batts we can do that for you .
