Got 150 acres of grass to drill and 936 on other duties and I don’t want to use rt crawler due to scuffing.I’m wondering if the 724 would pull it well enough?
Obviously no depth , system discs doing a bit, it can be rolled in front .
Thoughts chaps , it’s away land so want to be fairly confident else we will have a tractor swap around .
Thanks

Rapids don't need much power at all until you drop the leveling board

should pull it easy unless you have that board doing a lot

Run an 8m on a 720 drilling grass all the time, it’s fine on brown dirt, if you want to over seed on green grass anything apart from dead flat is out.

cereals with a 250r? Behave

She does!
Handles it well tbh a bit steady on a few hills but pretty pleased . They really are a sorted tractor.
A 728 on 710 tyres would be a weapon

We got told that a 6250r would be a good replacement for the challenger on our rapid. Ummmm no, not a chance. If you used it as just a drill and not a cultivator drill with perfect firm seedbeds then maybe. It makes 936 dig its heels in some days

No chance
It was clear yesterday that if I’d gone slightly deeper or it was wetter I’d be static.
I’ve held the 8345rt back with it so I can’t see how 250 would do it.
As you say if you just use the drilling discs then maybe but seems a bit pointless.
Same old you can send a man to do a boys job but not the other way round
