Ford 4000 scraper tractor hydraulics stopped working Saturday night, could be pump? Scraped out Sunday and Monday with pivot steer c/w bucket and hand scraper in more confined spaces (what a slow job). Our mechanic lent us a little fergy yesterday while he investigates ours only for today for it to not start after doing one side of the cubicles. Luckily same mechanic only just down road and came to have a look. Small stone in fuel hose from tank to pump. Back running within 20 minutes. Thought for minute I was back to loader bucket and sloppy sh1t !

I was extremely lucky this morning. Not a break down but trying to cut corners feeding cows. Used the sheargrab to feed bale of silage and when cutting wrap off my hand slipped.
All I can say is a good pair of gloves ruined and a small insignificant cut on thumb!

Boiler in house failed about 4pm yesterday. No heating or hot water.

Thankfully just the 4 of us here and no guests.

Last year quad bike had a flat Christmas morning but stayed running by pumping it up 4 or 5 times that morning.

Not farming related. But had a burst water pipe in a tenants kitchen last night. Completely flooded downstairs toilet and kitchen. And was slowly making it's way to the carpeted sitting room before it was switched off. Ive shown them were the stop tap is, and they suddenly become completely useless in an emergency, and I had to rush down to sort it.

A guidwheel on the automatic scraper parted company with its intended place. My father happened to spot it at 4 o lock, my welder uncle was doing a job on our premises and likes to help out. Job was good one about an hour and a half later. Makes a change from the usual, as this was yesterday.
