Roughly £20/mt. If we had a normal planted area in the ground now and it all looked half decent I think Nov futures would be 160 - 170.What is the difference between export and import price?

2013/14 will see the UK have a higher demand for imported wheat than Spain has. Think about that stat. We have been exporting grain for years to Spain (the EU's largest importer of grain) and now we will have a year when we import more than they do. That is crazy.
Bottled out today and started selling new crop for oct 13 @ min 170 no max, only did 4 loads though right or wrong?
Coulda got 177 flat so cost 7 to have a "punt"??
Cheers dh
£7 option - cheap in this market !
Whose that with ?
£7 option...how far out of the money did you go for that? (If you don't know...be worried).

Wheat seems to have recovered a bit in recent days too. 202.5 for May now according to Gleadell app.
It's only going one way and that ain't down. As always will never take a punt.
Been offered minimum / maximum contracts for Nov 13 feed wheat.
Also some "in a normal year" good min premiums for milling wheat.
But methinks this is not a year to commit to any physical crop sales.
I don't feel like committing to anything just now
Any disasters anywhere else in the world and adding another £100 to prices is not inconceivable now IMO
On balance I think I will hold right now !
So its conceivable newcrop wheat could hit £280 at some point, due to a poor world crop.If you take that view, surely you must also accept that another poor world crop is a certainty in the not too distant future. So why not just keep hoarding harvests until you can sell for £280 ?I don't feel like committing to anything just now

However the flip side is good harvests could see drops !
