Brings back evocative memories...of a bit of string to hold the throttle open, and always parking it in the shed nose first if it was going to be a cold night, as it wouldnt start if the engine was left out in the cold

it also needed a pint of water most days, it didnt end up in the sump, it just seemed to evaporate it

What you think of it? A mate of ours at an 8210 with bubble cab with the crash box for baling with a fusion
Aye it was OK not quite as positive as gearsticks between the knees, but not bad
Better for shuttling on the endrigs (y)
It was sold new by an elderly salesman who ticked the wrong gearbox option on the order form
Apparently the first owners weren't too pleased but took it as there was a long wait for another one

Place where i do the drilling had a 7740, when it started getting plauged with electrical issues due to corrosion of the wiring under the cab his dealer told him his best bet was to trade it in for a new T5 series, which he duly did

First year i went potato cart they had a 8240 and 8340, next year they had both gone, never see them again
Really good machine 8340 still gets lot of respect from those that own and run them

Dads had a change of heart[emoji19]he's can't make up his mind[emoji23]and this is a green tractor[emoji6]

I couldn't care as long as it can do me for matches and isn't stupid slow for going to them! Dad can't make up his mind and at the end of the day he's paying so it's his say

He needs more commitment then, this isn't a drive through Elvis Themed Vegas wedding.

It's buying a tractor.

Life changing stuff...

It took me all of 5 minutes to decide on buying the 15.

went and viewed it the day before the auction, took it for a half hour road trip round the surrounding villages, mile up the road and thought, yep, this is what i want

Next day, its just a case of raising your hand at the required moment

Was none of this...do i have this one, that one, the other one, or none of them. Decision was made and stuck to

It did help that prior to buying it, i had experience of its counterparts...namely 7810, 3050, 3085. Didnt try the IH as lack of splitter was a no go

Hell of a difference in size and ability between a JD6200 and a 5150,8340 etc.

What you need to do @Joe S is work out exactly what you want the tractor to do Then you know what you need to look for.

I.E.- does it need 40k, Do you need 80, 100 or 120 plus hp. Does it need big hydraulic lift and lots of spools etc. Does it want wide or narrow tyres Will it get a loader fitted and if so has it got a good gearbox layout for a loader tractor.

Once you've established these factors you can then narrow down the search to what meets most or all of your criteria.

Or alternatively just buy a NH TM cos i told you to;):ROFLMAO:
