I think some of the eastern European people that come across here have to be admired for how far they are prepared to go to buy machinery ,I was at my cousins place a few years ago and he had a Renault ares 710 for sale and a couple of farmers from Latvia were there buying it and they had driven in their Latvian registered car!
I think that my cousin told them that we had turned up to look at the tractor to keen them up a bit.

Furthest away we've bought from is the plough. That came from Ellis machinery bought over the phone on the strength of a few pics.

Did sell a 6 inch auger to the Orkneys via ebay a few years back. Bloke seemed keen for it even though it was on a 480volt split phase motor. That took some juggling to get it tied up to the roof of the furniture van that turned up for it. He had everything on board from double glazing units to a 2 furrow fergie plow.

Would that have been Macadie and Reeve from Orkney.

I have a 1997 new holland 8340 best thing I have bought yet! She has done 6700ish hours and still pulls like no tomorrow! And I haven't even had her opened up! She will do 55k flat! Quick little thing! The only issue I have had so far is my lower link sensing pin. One was sheared and one is hanging by a thread thay are £400 ago! Very comfy to drive or tho you will find your self kicking back a few gears when you approach a hill. Only driven a 5150 plus was a nice machine but cab was to small for a fat lad like my self . I haven't used one to pull any trailers it was a quick run down the road so can't really say much on the 5150 side. I fell in love with my mates 7840 and since then I've wanted the 8340.
