Well that’s the advice they give, and given that we have already had 2 rounds of grants where we’ve seen some items with long lead times I think it would make sense
It’s a risk all the same. I will have a ring round tomorrow and if I can’t get stuff on time I will decline the grant.

What made you choose the tags? I've got the grant, but looking at collars, either dairymaster or SCR
Went cowmanager. Keen on health as well. Cowmanager is the goto in Nz was my first pointer. Preferred that it was still an independent not owned by a global health company.

Then I started finding out just how fast it was growing in the UK and everyone I spoke to rated it so highly. 3 block calvers who are all at the top of there game all said it outperformed there expectations and within days of verifying it with there old methods gave up because they just can't beat it.

Health is the reason I'm looking at the collars, will have a look at cowmanager now, most of my kiwi mates are using Scr.

Yes, all or nothing.

I have quotes for most from one supplier plus a few extra bits and bobs.

Main supplier has stopped taking orders as of Monday pm as they have been swamped.

Luckily I had my provisional quote/order in and should see delivery in Feb.

I’m not ordering the few extras until I have a confirmed delivery of the main parts.

There must be some happy suppliers out there right now.

Probably been mentioned before but it's frustrating that there has to be a minimum spend. Why can't I just have a head scoop for my crush if that's all I want? They'd be able to help a lot more farmers . At the moment I've almost got to buy things I don't really need just to get the things I do. Wasting money .

That's usually the way that Grant's are , never really understood why, because all it does is waste a certain amount money.
Yet another potentially good idea that doesn't ......quite come off,
..........to help those that could really do with the help.
