Put 'cows and the environment' in to search on there. Again, nothing from us. Useless, quite literally useless.

My sister is a teacher. She is Left wing like her husband who is also a teacher. She thinks wasps are pollinators. She thought bees would help a Wheat crop yield more. She teaches materials to 16 year olds but doesn't understand the thermal properties of a concrete block. She has never driven a tractor, never done a days work on the farm, yet she moans about being ignored in a male dominated environment. She never will farm because she doesn't want to - she would bow out at a hard days work. In fact I would say she went back to school as a teacher because she never really left that very safe childlike environment.

She's also a Vegan.

She'll read the Guardian and Labour propaganda and take it hook, line and sinker.

Do you seriously think she'll swallow NFU propaganda ? I bet if I asked her opinion of the NFU she'd come up with the Default "The Guardian" response. Something about Lobbying and animal cruelty.

Does she feed her children a Vegan diet ? No. Because she researched the harmful damage a Vegan diet does to a growing brain. Full fat cream, meat etc for the children. Oxymoron that one.

Do you see pro-livestock agriculture on the BBC ?

I've never seen a BBC programme explain how agriculture and farming enabled modern life and brains. I've never seen a positive image of UK farming. I've seen lots of articles about pollution, flooding, food mountains/lakes, subsidies, accidents and now Climate Rubbish blamed on farming.

I see engagement of your generation to keep you paying the license fee by showing fluffy animals being born on farms. Your being played to enable their agenda.

My parents watch the BBC (in their 70s), I don't and will never pay the license fee nor will I engage with the BBC. They are a cultural enemy.

Does the Conservative Party get fair play on the BBC ? What party do farmers vote for ? Which cultures get promoted on the BBC and where do they live ? QED.

To make this point very clear. The BBC has a political program - which always comes from a City - City based populations vote Labour in the majority.

Adam Henson crops up on the BBC promoting British farming

I see pro farming programmes every week with new ideas, fluffy animals & cookery programmes showing how to prepare this lovely British joint.

How do you know what is on tv if you don't watch it?

At least one BBC newsreader Joanna Gosling is a close friend of David Cameron.

Corbyn quite rightly was taken to task by the BBC & thanks to that coverage was heavily defeated in the 2019 general election.

None of the farming programs that I have seen explain what livestock are, what land they use, the benefits to the land and people from livestock.

All the programs I've seen on farming concentrate on fluffy lambs, calves etc. Not converting grass to meat/milk/eggs and how those foods sustained the UK population for 1,000s of years and the benefits to brains and bones.

These days I catch a few minutes of programming with my parents .. there's not much difference to what I've seen before. In fact the BBC news I catch is basically "Covid 19" for 1 year now.

Do you live with your parents?

Do you have much contact with others?

I'm starting to build a picture.

Character assination incorporated ? If you want to have a go at someone look in the mirror. I'm sure there's plenty to have a go at.

Ooooh hit a nerve.

Well he must be human.

Not having a go, but you have to accept we are very lucky to live in Great Britain. We canvote for leaders it is ossible to be like James Dyson born in a council house & go on to become the largest landowner in the country, we can think & we can have opinions.

This Farming Life seems to get a good press on here.
You and anyone else on here can slag off the BBC all you like, its a free country. The idea that the farming industry as a body corporate should keep slagging off the BBC and in return expect to get positive coverage is naive in the extreme.

My sister is a teacher

So is my wife. She and your sister put in a harder shift than you or I do.
Why haven't we as an industry posted teaching resources on Twinkl ? Because we are useless. It's not the teachers who are failing the kids, it is us.

But even that gets a BBC slant on it.

Take the family makin hay, lad driving tractor whilst baling, Mrs in passenger seat holding baby ,door wide open.

What an advert for UK ag.
Blantent disregard for H&S, see the BBC slant?

Rest of programme as usual is media hyped up for entertainment purposes.
But all in all a good programme.

BLM, Unions, Labour, Womens rights, Remain and indeed anyone else who wants change complain and protest.

Do Vegans and Environmentalists complain and lobby ? Do you know of any movement which doesn't complain and lobby ?

Why does the Left promote "Cancel Culture" ? Silencing people leads to no action and no reform.

Has complaining about the biased BBC brought about change ? According to the new head of the BBC the answer is yes .. I suggest you complain to him about the biased coverage of the BBC - after all he was put in place to deal with exactly that by the Conservatives.

You must be a right slacker then. I worked a 14 hour day from 8:00am to 21:00pm day before yesterday and then had tidying up work to do. Physical work not sitting on my bum doing what I did when I was at school.

I work 6 days a week minimum. When I was doing a 40+ hour week I'd still work on the farm evenings, nights and weekends. In my day job I've worked 130 hour weeks, 36 hour days.

Teachers have a very very easy life. The reason I post on here after 7pm or not at all is because I'm working. Had I late breakfast and yes you guessed it .. back to work.

You missed out 'Don't criticise a farmer with your mouth full' .
You wouldn't last a week teaching.

Surely someone in the vicinity of Matt Baker could recruit him to put our case forward or even get him and Adam in a huddle to discuss and put our Livestock case forward!!
They have there contacts, surely our Durham members could get them round a table for a beer.

So it's not our fault as an industry for having a diabolical presence on the internet, it's the fault of the Blue Peter researcher for using the internet ?
Wot a load of bollox.
As far as internet presence goes, on the health and safety thread someone said the average age of a farmer is 59 (so at 57 I am a young farmer!), so I can quite see why we are not as internet savvy as younger generations. When I want to buy something from a corner shop I reach for change in my pocket, my son uses his phone or watch! When I want to organise something I get a piece of paper and pen, my colleagues at work would write a spreadsheet. Generational differences.

I do understand the IT and I do understand the "Supposed" way to get Google to advertise your website for example.

BUT TBH politics dominates it all - regardless of you being right, correct and fair. There are political mechanisms in place to ensure PC Liberal opinions dominate especially in social media.

The only way around this is getting to be a member of an organisation such as the Conservative Party & NFU and making your voice heard en masse.

I know my Conservative MP & NFU organise meetings and I do take part. I'm sorry to say that without you take action as an individual your voice will NOT be heard. If you don't vote Conservative then other MPs will quite rightly point out your vote as standing for opinions & policies which harm you. An MP will listen to you the most if you vote for him/her, are active in the party and you are in organisations.

If you don't vote Conservative then all I can say is you are getting exactly what you voted for.
