Cold night time temperatures and now lack of moisture are having a marked effect now. The grass looks stale and sick after romping away a month ago, done nothing since.
not everywhereJust graze really slowly, thankfully we have the cover to do that.
Work on water effectiveness, ie we probably grew 4000kgDM/ha on under 40mm of rainfall, where a faster round you might grow ½ of that or less.
All the dairies in the valley are drying off or have dried off, bar one who will milk til late May
we seldom get a dry April, often we go dry but it's generally always run the cherries by this stage
