Very good prices those.Bought some N24 + s £272/t and N30 £294/t a couple of weeks ago both for spring delivery, just hope i get it!
As said I hope it turns up!!Very good prices those.
Went through this with the rep,1 ton liquid 24n has the same units as 1 ton granular apparently, checked on the omex site and does look that way.A ton is 700l. 700l of 24N contains 168kg of N. So 168kg for £272. £1.60 per kg.
1 ton of 27N 9S contains 270kg of N. So making equivalent £432/t?
Cheap compared to current prices.
Ours is bought by the cube for that reason not per ton.You have to be careful with who is supplying and what it’s called. Yara call theirs by the cube (to me makes the most sense as you are applying a volume) and Omex by weight. @Chae1 way of working out per kg on N is the only way to do it. Folk need to state who is supplying when the state the grade.
Specific weight will vary from 1.2 to 1.32 depending on the gradeOurs is bought by the cube for that reason not per ton.
If your applying 24N liquid its 100 litres for 24kg N.
100kg granular for 24N.
100 litres of liquid fert does not weigh the same as 100kg of granular.
780lts omex 24n is the same as 1ton of granular 24n,bit more complicated but means we can cover more ground on a fill, think Yara you need 1000lts to be the same as granular, omex obviously more concentrated.Ours is bought by the cube for that reason not per ton.

Yes but Yara is often more, my grade is 32N 9.4 SO3 some bought in the 3s some in the 4s no prices available for spring.780lts omex 24n is the same as 1ton of granular 24n,bit more complicated but means we can cover more ground on a fill, think Yara you need 1000lts to be the same as granular, omex obviously more concentrated.
They are normally the same concentration. Be very careful with the salesman spiel. I use a Yara N29 which is roughly equivalent to an omex N24 except I have a little more sulphur.780lts omex 24n is the same as 1ton of granular 24n,bit more complicated but means we can cover more ground on a fill, think Yara you need 1000lts to be the same as granular, omex obviously more concentrated.
Yes took a bit to get my head round it,omex site helped, 24n is actually 30n but applied at a reduced rate of around 780lts rather than 1000lts which brings it down to 24n,cuts down on transport and storage I suppose, granular is so much easier to work out! They are normally the same concentration. It would be a good time for farmers to all get together and not sow any more cropsBought early at a price that make you wonder if it best to sell it on and not actually apply it !
I’m not sure you have your head around it? 24 and 30 from the same company is different concentrations of N but normally done to allow different amounts of S.Yes took a bit to get my head round it,omex site helped, 24n is actually 30n but applied at a reduced rate of around 780lts rather than 1000lts which brings it down to 24n,cuts down on transport and storage I suppose, granular is so much easier to work out!
