We have 2 that both cost 50k, 1 has a loader on it. They had high hours when we got them but they only do 3-400 hrs a year so they are probably nearer average hours for their age now. Not been to much bother, pto solenoid and a few other small electric bits. Did track rod ends on 1 last week. We wanted to start drilling this week and the steering column release broke which was a bloody time consuming job to replace but he got going yesterday and now it's pissing oil out the suction filter O ring underneath 🤦🏻‍♂️😂. But overall been very good and we love them.

How do they compare in the field compared to standard tractors? Much difference in grip?

I believe there was a cut off year where they altered them significantly. The ones before that change were best avoided. I would speak to Harvey Milnes as nobody knows more about them than he does.
Spring 2020 brought in better diffs/axles.
Autumn 2022 brought icon with better armrest/joystick/screen.

Some days I'd curse mine to bits for wheel grip especially in a trailer and others it would really surprise me .
You need to be prepared to play with tyre pressure a lot but the biggest bother was really heavy mounted stuff you couldn't get the rear pressure low enough to carry the weight when raised and get grip when working.

All in a decent bit of kit

I have been dropping off seed at a customers tonight who coincidentally has a 4220. Asked him what he thought and putting it politely he didn't care for it's lack of reliability 😂
