Had a visit to the show today. Alot of nice stock about. I had a walk around the stands later on and came across a stand for rewilding Eagles. Two women were on the stand and they had this enormous Eagle there sat on a large wooden perch. I wondered if anyone else had seen it. I should have taken a photo, but didn’t think to. I would‘nt think they would get much support , as wales is a huge sheep farming area.

You’d be surprised. There are plenty of libtard feckwits that have bought houses and retired here, full on Guardian readers that think farmers are out to poison them.
Loads of them round here.😡

There was a lot of opposition on here to the red kites being helped and they're no harm to anything much. That thing looks like it take your children 😳
In my opinion there are now too many Red Kites about, I wonder if the proliferation of raptors is affecting other small songbird numbers. Went to pick up a calf the other day, and I think Mark said he counted 67 Kites circling his silage field this summer. surely this must be altering the make up of all our other wildlife.

Area around Montgomery has been a draw for Goodlifers since the early 70s. At least some put down roots and stopped. Bishops Castle seems the same. But retirees with naff all else to do, can be a problem.

Always the case when predator numbers are out of balance. :(

For my whole life we have had dozens of buzzards on the farm. Since a couple of red kites have started visiting once every few weeks we have almost no buzzards. Whether bird flu has scuppered them or red kites we arn’t sure but the last 2-3 years a lot of our caravaners have been asking where the buzzards have all gone.

Oh, yes. Those ‘narrow minded farmers’ all love ‘em.

We even have a ‘Green’ as a town councillor now, who got in over a fella that organises cleanups, etc around the town and actually gets on and does stuff.
The eco-councillor is a nice enough fella, having been very approving of my direct drilling, just couldn’t get his head round the fact that I had to use the dreaded glyphosate to do so.😂
