Looking for a hard waring tyres for my mule dx .currently on bkt maxigrip but have poor survival rate.
Have a large amount of road work between sites but need grip when off road on wet ground. Any recommendations would be appreciated.
Currently I have bailey trailers fitted with 425/65/22.5 tyres, but the smaller 11ton one I use for muck is fairly rutting the fields this time of year. One field in particular has a steep ramp in, which the 155hp on wide tyres only just manages to drag it up. Normally I can manage the trailer...
Any thoughts on 560/60/22.5 tyres on a trailer the choices are CEAT, BKT ride max , or equivalent Alliance a mixture of road and field work any thoughts greatly appreciated
Aye-up,
Right then, time to make a start.
Had the chassis cab delivered on Monday and have been faffing about with paperwork for first registration and MoT exemption. Got all that away and had a bit of a go up the lane with it. Bit of a niggle, it won’t change into low range on the transfer...
What are thew best? I'm happy to pay a premium for long lasting tyres, but what o ultimately need is side walls/wheel rim protection. We always have problems with people catching the rims on cubible heelstone etc. any recemendarions on brands. using Camso atm.
Looking at a set Bridgestone VF 710 70 42. Not had any experience with VF tyres and choose is limited at its a new build tractor so only being offered Bridgestone or Michelin in VF. I could put a set of non VF 710s on and change them to a set of VF of my choice and sell the non VF ones
Which tractor tyres do people reccomend. On trelleborg now and if money was no object I'd put them back on. People round here are saying bkt are good value. Used on grassland and alot of road work. Thanks
Do many people buy tractor tyres on line? look reasonable prices. Which web site is best. Will obviously ring local suppliers as well but thought it was worth having some prices to bounce off them. Sadly need a few 😒
Right , I know this has been covered before partly by other threads. But here in NI we are in the process of having spreadplate banned in stages over the next couple of years so it's time to change systems. So on the back of a 2500gal tanker, all grassland farm, no dairy (so slurry not water)...
Currently has 16.9 38 and 14.9 24 but want to go wider. Looking at 520/70 38 and 480/70 24? I think those will work but not 100% sure. Will need wider front rims but rears are fine. Will be going down the vredistein route
I have Valtra T194 on trelleborg 650/65 r42 back and 549/65 r30 on front and was wondering what pressures I could drop them to for doing our umbilical slurry. The tractor will also need to put the pipes out with 1000m on the back and 600 on the front as well as being on the dribble bar.
Thanks...
Currently travelling atleast 3 miles a day on tarmac with the quad but alot more during lambing. Current tyres are kenda executioner which have done 12,000 mile and are getting to the point of changing which i am fairly happy with but was wondering if anybody had an experience with the maxxis...
