Hi I sprayed 10acres with Thristlex today how long would you have to keep sheep of it for? There’s plenty of grass on it so looking to get back on asap cheers
Cheers wasn’t sure, sheep will kill them selves easily enough without me helping them aswell7 days
Lol sorry contractor done it for me today when I was at work forgot to ask him beforehand Was just curious so thought I’d ask on here as I don’t have the empty containers^this. I’m concerned anyone needs to ask when it’s clearly stated on the label, which anyone who should be spraying is surely more than capable of reading? Such queries play right into the hands of those that would restrict ‘professional users’ yet further tbh.
Whether the OP might be willing to shave a few days off is a different matter, and not one that anyone would advise on a public forum anyway, if they had any sense.
Yes suppose so , you just feel they are wound down for the year by now and thislex is expensive if it does half a job , not so much an issue if its MCPAI sprayed a few weeds today , october ! Fresh as out they are growing like stink well were ……felt weird spraying weeds october bit if they growing ….
Been really mild here and even though it’s to get colder at the weekend I was hoping there be enough heat in the ground to keep them growing so the thistle x to work it was under sown with barely wholecroped of it but then an unbelievable amount of thistles came up along with the grassHow effective is spraying thistles at this time in season ,
be interesting to see results next year.
Pressume you are the south of the country ?
My seeds are needing sprayed for thistles too, will now hang fire until spring time.Been really mild here and even though it’s to get colder at the weekend I was hoping there be enough heat in the ground to keep them growing so the thistle x to work it was under sown with barely wholecroped of it but then an unbelievable amount of thistles came up along with the grass
If they are still growing you can get a very good kill, I think it’s because they’re taking nutrients down into the roots for winterYes suppose so , you just feel they are wound down for the year by now and thislex is expensive if it does half a job , not so much an issue if its MCPA
Would have liked them done sooner but with the season that’s in it getting the right conditions along with the contractor trying to get barley and silage read up it’s the first chance he got so just went for it as I think it was causing eye infections in the lambs I’d put on it only 20 and five of them affectedMy seeds are needing sprayed for thistles too, will now hang fire until spring time.
Yes did wonder if they may take the chem up as " the last supper "If they are still growing you can get a very good kill, I think it’s because they’re taking nutrients down into the roots for winter
