No they are not.Even if a MB Trac is a rust bucket all the body panels are readily available which is why they hold there prices.

The older type 1300's have 2 steps, the 1500 has 3. you have 2 so could have been swapped. The 1300 came with 30 inch rims as standard but could be specced with the 34's. look's like your on the 30's, somebody has been swapping parts from one to another.. You really want the 34's for road speed and ground clearance which they are short on. you can find the wheels by asking the right people.. has the tractor got access to 8th gear for warp ballistic speed!?Ironically it had 1300 decals on when I bought it as the side panels were off a 1300 but Mercedes confirmed it was a 1500 from the chassis number.
I don't think I've ever seen a 1300 - how can you tell them apart?
As you know, all the sheet tin work should be no bother. Bonnet side panels for the small ones could be tough and maybe the fibreglass side panels on the big ones but a guy up here is getting some of the bonnet panels made up in fiberglass and they look great..Come on then which bits of tin are not available.
It's not box section.. it's a folded profile with the edges folded out and the rust will be in between the 2 layers. very hard to repair and make it look factory.. lots of 90 degree fold radius to try and get right. The cab is basically box section and flat plate, I can't see it being difficult to repair

You have mb 1000's? they will be 8 stud? the 1500 wheels are 10 stud standard commercial spacing. I doubt the rims are 38's if the tyres are 36". that would be an impressive feat getting them on.. Are they fixed centres or bolted?Getting confused now. I have a set of wheels supposed to be from a 1500 that I was going to use on my forward control MB Trac which are 38 inch across the rims and shod with 12 R4 36 tyres. Any ideas definetly a disc type wheel as on a 1500 and sold to me as being from a 1500.

You can get new 16.9 x 28 rims for about £360 each from DS wheel factors.. painted ready to go. ask for heavy duty, they are very helpful. Better still you should get away with 480/70/28's on the 1000. they will really help to cushion the ride, I find the wee tracs give a harsh ride if unladen.Definetly not 1500 wheels then as there 8 stud with fixed disc centres like the MB Trac 1500. I bought them as I was struggling to get 16.9 x 26 tyres and the MB Trac on the road could manage a higher top speed of the larger tyres. 140cm diameter instead of 130. The 38 inch is to the outer edge of the rim I think the rims themselves are 36 same as the tyres.

Those old tyres are not up to high speed running, if you want to use the high gears you really need some better tyres to be safe. The drum brakes really want stripped and check the slaves are not leaking fluid, then set the free play and she will stand on her nose for years to come. the brakes are great, last for 10'000 hours+ and cheap as chips to reline..
They are beasts.. but you do need to keep on top of them. Many little things that have to be adjusted and tweaked to make the best of them.
An mb trac isn't suitable for running at high speed, not just the tyresThose old tyres are not up to high speed running, if you want to use the high gears you really need some better tyres to be safe.
