2003 merlo p38.13 plus

I have a problem with the forward and reverse on my merlo it’s not going anywhere when I select drive or reverse but all the boom and legs still work what could this be thanks James

You’ll need to get it pressure checked, I think either the roll pin in the selector fork has snapped or the gear has come off the motor

In that case I’d say my above guess is wrong,
I’d be checking the inching pedal switch and checking error codes on the red switch in the back of the cab

Yes it will free wheel in neutral and forward and reverse
50p bolt caused that same issue in my 28.7 about 5 yr ago then
M8 40mm ish bolt snapped, drive cog dropped into Oil in bottom of that gearbox under boom poss where the 2 speed gear change is not quite sure.
needed new Gear as teeth was chipped & Labour was the as usual killer job was around £700 in the end. Cog was £120 odd
Just a hunch it could be similar thing thats all.

I don’t understand why it will drive for ten mins or so then sudden stop but will roll then won’t drive for at least a day
