Hi, I got a Claas arion 530 that won’t turn off with key, I have replaced the stop Solenoid and that has made no difference, does anyone know what will be causing this?

How old is the tractor? Have you got anything plugged into the cab sockets? Certain models had trouble if taking power from d plug back feeding and keeping engine running

What engine is in it?

The delphi type injector pumps on perkins and jcb do this and it's the latch valve on side of pump.

The tractor has done 9100 hours, nothing is plugged into the cab sockets. When the tractor is cold it will stat and and turn off normally but once it’s been running for about 15 minutes it doesn’t want to turn off with the key.

Is the dash staying or is it purely the engine that continues to run? It could be a fault with engine ecu keeping it powered on all the time. They used to have a bad habit of leaking engine oil into them would mess about when oil got hot. Ecu Is on left side be a black cover over it

the dash some times flickers when the key is turned off, I had a Claas mechanic out yesterday and he couldn’t find the problem, he checked ecu and updated it and said the ecu was all good. he had his computer hooked up to the tractor and couldn’t find any faults

So if you take off the wire to stopper (as long as it is the stop solenoid) it keeps running ?
If so its the pump or solenoid not ecu or wites
Does it run normal and revs up and down etc or just runs on missing etc not drivable

I have had this with a number off machines
Not starting a battle but i put oil in fuel when filling fuel tank and it stops this as “I” believe there is no lube in modern fuel and fuel pumps etc seize up so run .5-1 lt off engine oil into a tank off diesal and it stops run on when stoping b
But if you fitted a new stop solenoid it should off helped but problem may be further in pump
So it will be a new or recon pump is wire off not stop and oil in furl it not stop

If I take the wire off it still keeps running but it will run a little rough, when the key is on and the engine running the tractor is perfectly fine everything works, then you turn the key off everything turns off except the engine, but some times the dashboard starts flickering and sometimes the engine turns off by it’s self after a few minutes, if not I got to stall it.

Yeh sounds like it seizing or stiff on stopper linkage
I would tip a lt or few off oil in fuel tank and a add fuel at same time to mix it up but just a few gallon fuel to keep mix stronger then try it for a bit see if it helps may take a few hours to work
Nothing lost in trying it
Let me know how it works

Son has a fastrac and it will not start when warm but iff he tips water on fuel pump it starts straight up
I told him to ty oil but dont think he bothered
We have tried jumping it. And alsorts but it always start eventually and somebody said try wAter to cool it as it is worn and gets hot expands and will not pump /inject fuel
I wouldn’t off believed it but just half a small bottle water tiped over injector pump and it starts straight up
It was when along side the chopper if he stalled it . he met a car an a lane and had to sit there in front off irate driver for ten mins till it cooled then started lol

Dont get me wrong after a year or two on the jcb loadal we did replace the fuel pump but it started getting efected in the running off it but it was easy to see if driver had not put oil in as you would stop it and it would keep jugging /running but they would swear blind they had but a little oil and it would stop again lol
