Just nudging 6000 hrs after two years. World and his wife drives it but I think I’ll spec auto lube for the next one. ‘Tis a dairy farm after all where grease is an unknown quantity

How long do you keep them? I tried a claas the other day and really rated it,I’m currently racking up hours on a hire machine still

We’re were hoping for 5 years but not a chance. Probably more practical to buy another secondhand machine to take some of the load

70 odd acres of 3rd cut done
11hours to lift with furthest field exactly 1 mile from pit to clamp all travelling across fields. (Smoother than the roads and narrow in places!!) 30minute trip pit to pit so not bad going on the longest draw .

They get bumped down from the main machine after 12-18 months but still need to be running every day.

Aye. Just back from hols on Wednesday and had to catch up with things before taking on grass. Hope haven't missed it though. No mowing tomorrow I think as Sunday looks quite high risk. But will see what the mornings forecast brings.

Done ours beginning of the week and found much the same, first field did 67t/ha off the field.

We did 75 ac of SB 10 days ago and I'd say we have a 50% bigger heap than last year from the same acreage.
