2022 Summer Dairy Placement

I’m a Veterinary Science student at the University of Bristol looking for a work experience placement for two weeks during late June or the month of July 2022. I'm from Kent but am happy to travel if you have accommodation for me to stay in.
I’m looking to gain experience on a dairy farm as part of my Extra Mural Studies to contribute towards my Veterinary course in order to gain further cow handling skills and learn more about the dairy farming profession.
I have some experience with cows which I've gained through my course and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I’ve learnt how to strip a cow’s teats and gone into the milking parlour to prep the udders and attach the milking unit clusters and ensure the cows were all correctly positioned. I've also learnt how to cast a cow and fit its halter, as well as about cow reproduction and milking cycles.
I believe I am a good candidate as I am a hard worker, love learning new skills and am keen to get involved in any tasks that need doing and help around the farm. I love animals, the outdoors and enjoy meeting new people too.

If you can't find anything PM me and I will look for someone to have you but it will be in the area immediately south of Bristol.
