If you’ve no hills and not bothered about doing 50k why won’t a well weighted 200hp tractor manage

probably get something like a early valtra T or newholland T7000 which will be a lot nicer to drive than most the tractors mentioned in this
you mean like a t7040 its just that i like the older stuff esp pre 2007 ,they really went mad after that with electronics ,the new holland i have on the big wagon is 200 hp on the pto,and i thought if i bought a big enough tractor with power to spare that it would last me years, and if or when we go to a 3 axle wagon then i will have a tractor well fit for purpose

Why is 2007 the cut off period?

I hear this about tractors made before a certain time thing regular. First it was 1986, then 1999, now it’s 2007? Maybe one day it’ll be 2018

its mostly to do with emissions ,when injector pumps switched to electronic ,and then common rail ,also ecu,s got more complicated ,there are sensors for everything, and i for one cant hack it when i dont know how to fix it ,

But do we have to know how to fix everything? It’s not the end of the world if you don’t.

It would do no harm seeking out an independent NH mechanic in your area for the future. You could be as well paid working on at checking cattle or trying to keep her indoors happy........
we are the independant mechanic unfortunately ,but i agree about the independant mechanics ,only for them i would never know how to fix stuff we do a lot on fiats tm and 60 series nh ,as regards keeping her self happy could we start a new thread on that

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
