Internal or external?Anyone on here running a 28 or 30 point rotary with one man? And if so what sort of output can you achieve in litres or cows per hour? Cheers
Can u milk in an external with one man?External
yes with ACRs and auto spray,Can u milk in an external with one man?
And auto retention gates may be.yes with ACRs and auto spray,
£5500-6000 a point excluding shed, collecting yard or dairy and there are plenty of extras you could add to make life 'easier'How much would a 50 point rotary cost with acrs and feeders?
You can do it, but why?28 internal can easily be a one man parlour
Don't build an external rotary for 1 man unless you are happy not seeing the cows again after you put the unit on. Retention bars are all well and good but they are no substitute for another man. Go big like clay says and have two men.
if you are building a 1 man rotary with acrs and retention arms build a 50-60. 30 seems like a waste of time.
Whats the reason people go for a 50/60 point rotary?Would a 40 point not be plenty big enough. So long as the cows are milked and units are off after one revolution. I understand you cant extend a rotary in future so the jobs to put a big one in at the start.
Your on to it, go mid 40's as that is a one person operation, once you get to 60, then you need two, I know a farm in Geraldine that has that exact problem with their 60 vs 50 bale sheds.Whats the reason people go for a 50/60 point rotary?Would a 40 point not be plenty big enough.
