As the title really, what tractors are people using to pull 4m mounted claydon drills. Just looking at drilling options. Tractors I have available are 6155r and a 240cvx. Thanks Ben.

on flat easy ground the 155 will be fine - lifting it and handling it may be a different matter. On slopes with the tines in deep on heavy ground (rape drilling) the 240 could be struggling. We have the blue equivalent of a puma 225 on a 4m Claydon On some steep slopes I’ve had to drill them one way as couldn’t get ‘up’ but generally running at about 1500rpm at 9-10k. Fan is enough to get the boost to kick in so running at 260hp.

Needs all of the 1.25tonne I have up front (probably could do with a bit more) and have fitted wheel weights for grip. A heavy dew in early October can make a big difference to grip.
