4wd All terrain tyres

Got some 255/65R18 on a truck but they are just goodyear wrangler road tyre which are rubbish off road. Thinking about putting some all terrain type on. Any suggestions?

Fencers had these, he rated them as not too noisy and affordable.

Maybe too off road for you though.

Personally I think the width is more of a consideration for off road. My Land Rover on 235 AT2s won’t quite go the places dads does on 205 road tyres.

Have a look for radar renagade R/T, I know a lad who’s put them on his navara, very happy with them and about £110 a corner I think, R/T’s bit courser than an A/T but not as Rough as a M/T.
I’ve but falken M/T’s on my landie and so far they’re going well, quiet on the road, handle well in the wet

Depends how much you need 4x4 tyres?

I have Kunho Insaturbos on the Defender and they've proved their worth on my olf Defender towing fully laden cattle trailers on to the marshes at turn out this week

However they are noticeably noisy on the road and I only use the Defender for towing

Cheap enough to boot up and use as a second set on spare rims and then have something else for the Summer /long trips ?

did they make any difference to fuel economy at all?
Nothing on day to day short work mixed on/off road driving, ( probably use less actually due to less wheel spin) maybe a couple of miles in it for a full tank on a long A-road or Motorway journey compared to the factory Bridgestones.

I have a set of radar r/t on my hilux but my fuel economy has dropped like a stone from my old kumho mt51s which were a MT tyre! Cant say they are better in the wet as they spin on the same round rounderbouts and i dont drive fast. Bit disappointed with them really. Maybe a little quieter but there is still road noise. Wishing i had gone with something else, they look good.

BFG KO2 All Terrain on my Defender, ran a set on the disco before and can not fault them. Some say they don’t feel safe in wet weather but surely you drive to the conditions? Never had an issue here
