Because both sides of my family, as far back as recorded history goes, farm, and they all vote Tory (well, there are suspicions about one, but she sensibly keeps quiet about it).
Because when the road signs come out it's a very rare thing to see a poster in a hedge that isn't Tory.
Because I read what is posted on here, and it's like stumbling into the bar at a Conservative Association club.

as a matter of interest someone we know used to put conservative signs in our hedge, I didn't vote for a conservative candidate though, they just made the same assumption that you did, helped to keep the wood burner going though

Go into the politics section on here and there’s no shortage of posters laying into the Tories.
OTOH I’ve never been to a conservative association club, maybe that’s what happens there too.
