A visit from the Travellers Caravan Club

On local news this week police did actually raid a site near doncaster.
They recovered stolen property and vehicles and found a cannabis farm.
50 travellers sites round Doncaster so how much crime would be uncovered if they raided them all?

Then the gypsy council said that they were being victimised by the police . [emoji849]

we live near the well known site in south essex, ask anyone whos had dealings with them? i cannot for the life of me understand the dogooders who support them, we had a near incident friday about 5pm an estate car heavily overloaded towing a large caravan drove into our carpark, after sitting in the buspullin on the main road opposite our garden centre, then he put his bonnet on the car up said his car was overheating and he would be moving in ten minutes, got out on phone, his wife, partner got out with three dogs, we were lucky they did move on, but we were preparing for an invasion? what then?

another point , can anyone tell me, is it a criminal offence to drive a car on the public highway untaxed and possibley uninsured, , the reason i asked this is a few weeks ago we had a car come in our yard with some shifty individuals , looked like they were eyeing up the plant and machinery . someone had the good presence to make a note of the vehicles registration, we put it in the dvla website, it showed it was untaxed and maybe if that was the case it would be uninsured? we phoned police to report the suspicious activity told the nice girl on the switchborld, the registration she said that the police had no interest in the vehicle?

See my earlier comment, the law is for the law abiding. The police don't bother as it's not worth the trouble to them.

Im afraid thats how it is now. Sonwone reported to the police a nice caravan being towed into a scrap yard at speed. No number plate on the caravan and one of those bodged up trailer hitches they use for stealing.
Police never looked in to it.

Local farmer whom I know well, was last evening baling hay on his fields near Glan Clwyd hospital when he noticed vans and caravans entering the next field adjoining a dual carriageway.

In a nutshell he went and blocked the gateway with his Land Rover to prevent more vehicles entering the field. One bloke with an iron bar came over smashed the Land Rover windows when he refused to move and others told him they were coming on anyway, and he had better move.

These people had just been moved on from the bowling greens at the Coronation Gardens in Rhyl, and as is usual just moved a couple of miles before invading someone else’s property.

The farmer had phoned the police and still refused to move despite threats and more window smashing and kids throwing stones at him. Eventually some of them scarpered before the plod arrived. Three travellers waited for the constabulary and they said would leave the field if the farmer did not press charges.

Apparently there are clear photographs of the bloke with the iron bar and the travellers have left the area completely according to the police, who are still looking for them.

High time we all signed the petition on this forum to make it illegal for anybody to enter another person’s property and once and for all put an end to these obnoxious people being able to act as absolute criminals whenever and wherever they choose, with total impunity.

Things have got to change, so for goodness sake sign and share this petition.
How is he? I was going to text him something sarcastic to see how he was but it may be a bit soon for that! I'll be passing in a bit so may call in.

SCUM.

He’s very shaken but apart from bruised ribs where one of the thrown stones hit him he’s okay.

Fair play and respect to he and his son for standing their ground, the scum might not like it but they need more people to stand up to them and make them break the law as happened at this place. They soon scarper off like rats when they know the plod are on the way.

Well done to them.
I can see vigilantism will be the only way to get things done in future.
The general public are getting fed up with crime nowadays and the lack of police action.
I saw that about 30 scooter enthusiasts all went to see a prolific criminal who was stealing scooters. They let him know that they knew what he wss up to!

But then the police will threaten to crack down on anyone who takes the law into their own hands.

Strange how they always seem to have time and resources to do that, but not to target the criminals and vandals that give rise to people taking the law into their own hands in the first place.

I worked on a farm near Andover for a few months and the telehandler used to follow me around when spraying moving giant concrete Lego blocks from the gateways which were put in place to stop them driving across the crops when hare coursing. Terrible state to get into

A good few years ago a big camp set up on a farm in Dorset, they took the dogs coursing and a few local gamekeepers shot all the dogs, they moved on quick then!

Worked on the outskirts of Peterborough one time, opposite a traveller camp (office was like Fort Knox). They used to steal cars, joyride and dump them burning in the next field. Police had a "clamp down" & arrested a couple of them so the next morning there were 25/30 burnt out cars in the field...

Napalm is the answer
